![]() Their battery factory is located at Lyon Station, Pennsylvania. East Penn also makes Deka batteries, another battery brand. The Clarios (formerly Johnson Controls) and East Penn Manufacturing make the Super Start batteries. You will know what that battery is in this Super Start battery review – which company makes them and warranty explained. There’s a battery like that being sold in the market right now. They finally did, but I'm not sure if I had anything to do with it.If you find a car battery that holds many patents for innovative technology that you can’t find in other batteries, then that’s the one you should use in your car. I did heckle them repeatedly about offering direct e-commerce sales. They probably don't ever want to hear from me again, actually. I'm not associated with them at all, aside from my constant pestering. I was fed up with batteries at that point, and wanted the one brick to rule them all. I know I'm a broken record, here, but I grilled those buggers before buying. All the latest and greatest tech no expense spared on keeping things clean and high quality. They are also proudly made in the USA in a compound that's only a few years old. Someone had to crack the voodoo eventually, and it took a brazen, environmentally friendly, performance-minded, customer focused, no holds barred team of the best people the industry kicked out of the lab to pull it off. Case-in-point at AutoZone I had Duralast battery that had yr or two left of proration, however, it was cheaper to buy battery outright at another vendor and forego the proration. Often, even the proration will not make the battery affordable to purchase at the same store. One low cost battery even had only 1 year free replacement. Some do 3 yrs free replacement and no proration at all. Some do 2 years free replacement and couple years proration. Yep, warranty all together and pro-ration years are virtually gone for batteries now.
